W-1 ACSCU/WASC 101: The Accreditation Process, Clear and Simple
A must for anyone new to the ACSCU/WASC process - and a great chance to refresh your knowledge, too. This workshop is particularly useful for institutions that want to get a jump-start on self-reviews that are still several years away. We'll make sense out of the three-stage review process, define the differences between the stages, clarify language, and highlight recent changes in the Standards and review process. Particular attention will be given to the planning structures and data systems that support a sccuessful reaccreditation review. Participants will explore the resources available from the WASC office and have plenty of opportunities for Q & A. Institutional teams are welcome; so are institutions in eligibility or candidacy, but they should note that a post-conference workshop is devoted to their particular concerns.
