Inviting Student Success through Creative, Active, and Meaningful Learning

The challenge for many faculty is to engage their students in a variety of learning experiences that promote deep understanding of complex ideas in a relevant manner. This presentation demonstrates seven ways to implement active, meaningful learning in the classroom. Through the use of discussion, dialogue, and demonstration, participants will experience learning that is is energetic, constructive, motivating, intentional, authentic, reflective, and cooperative. Using innovative objects and creative resources, the presenter will provide opportunities for participants to engage in activities that encourage deep learning, problem solving, decision making, and creativity. Materials will be available for all participants.
