Creating and Sustaining a Culture of Evidence and Improvement: How Can Integrating Institutional Research, Assessment and Planning Help?

Three CSU campuses will report on what is currently “hot” for them in academic program review (APR). CSU Northridge will talk about the use of assessment results in APR as well as efforts to define and assess university core competencies. Cal Poly SLO will discuss the piloting of its assessment-based integrated review process, built around university learning objectives, which seeks to review majors and GE simultaneously. CSU Dominguez Hills will describe the university’s Program Effectiveness Assessment Tool (PEAT) and its application in APR.
